Shalom to All,
Yeshivat Simchat Shlomo of Jerusalem is proud to announce the third year of our Eco-Activist Beit Midrash. Through in-depth learning, hiking, volunteering and more, we are joining the legions of Jews seeking to actualize Torah in the modern struggle for ecological harmony.
· Our special winter break program runs from December 28th - January 14th.
· Our spring program runs from May 30th - June 28th.
· Our summer program from July 25 th – August 23rd.
We are turning to you for help in publicizing this program to people on your campus, email lists or community who may be interested in participating. The program is geared for Jews with an interest in environmental activism, age 20 and up. We teach to all levels of knowledge and observance and are especially geared towards students with minimal textual backgrounds. It is a great introduction to Jewish learning and the Israel experience.
Attached you will find an announcement (which can be cut a pasted into an email) and a flyer which can be sent out on email lists or printed and posted on community billboards. If you are interested in distributing actual fliers, please write us with your mailing address and the number of fliers. Anything you can do helps. If you'd like to link to our website, please write us back.
If you are interested in helping host an event (anywhere from a class to a shabbaton) in February or March when we will be travelling in the States on a recruitment tour, please let us know asap.
