The great irony is that Obama's "Jewish problem" may very well have been nothing but Republican propaganda created by the folks at the Weekly Standard and Fox News. Last report I read was that Obama received 78% of the Jewish vote, which is pretty consistent with how the Democrats have done amongst Jewish voters for the last 20 years or so.

Zayde and Bubbe are smarter than we give them credit: they may be old, but the statistics make it clear that they looked beyond the color of Obama's skin and asked what he stood for.

The based on this chart, the only thing unusual is that there were no percentage points for third party candidates-- so McCain got 22% of the Jewish vote which means he won Jewish support away from third parties (which have become almost universally anti-Israel this election cycle.)
